Estonian Glass Artists' Union

Accordance. Ongoing / Going On

For the fifth year in a row, Estonian glass art will be visiting the Haus Gallery, to create a dialogue with the permanent exhibition at the gallery. The name of the exhibition “Accordance”, which has become a tradition, has received a subtitle this time “Ongoing / Going on.”

The exhibition “Ongoing / Going on” was previously exhibited in the summer of 2016, in Saint Petersburg, in the Museum of Glass Art on Yelagin Island. The aim of the exhibition was to introduce the creations of Estonian glass artists, who are at the beginning of their careers, to Saint Petersburg’s art audience. After the establishment of warm relations with Saint Petersburg’s audience, it is time for the young glass artists to introduce their creations to their home audience.

On Monday, 20 March at 17.00 a meet and greet will take place with the exhibition’s artists, with anyone interested welcome to attend. You can see the artists, hear about the background behind the creation of the works and ask about whatever interests you straight from the artists themselves. For further information keep an eye on here.

Eight artists are displaying their works at the exhibition: Aleksandra Pavlenkova, Andra Jõgis, Caspar Sild, Kateriin Rikken, Kristiina Oppi, Külli Nidermann, Maarja Mäemets and Maria Tamm.Small sculptural forms and items are on display, all certain to arouse the interest of collectors as well as all friends of art. Works from optical materials are perfect to be given as a celebratory gift or to be added to one’s collection at home.
