Estonian Painters' Association
Nude painting at Haus Gallery. Estonian Painters' Association's curatorial exhibition. Curator: Tiina Tammetalu
Tiina Tammetalu: 'There’s a parade of living classics of Estonian art on the second floor of Haus Gallery! Freshly completed nude paintings by Jüri Arrak, Tiit Pääsuke, Lembit Sarapuu, Jaan Toomik, Valeri Vinogradov, Ilmar Kruusamäe, Mati Kütt, Mari Roosvalt, Anne Parmasto, Mall Nukke, Vilen Künnapuu, Anatoli Strahhov, Enn Tegova, Mauri Gross and many others – over thirty great and excellent authors.'
"As the curator of this exhibition I feel proud, because the variety of artistic styles and the selection of artists is outstanding this time. As for the subject matter, I left artists to their own devices. I am positive that the nude painting genre, which is as old as time, still works well today. It leaves artists plenty of space for interpretation, so if they want to, they can use nude painting to talk about any subject.
Haus Gallery has been a great partner for Estonian Painters’ Association for years.“
The exhibition opening takes place on 5 November at 6 PM.
Sponsors: Eesti Kultuurkapital, Tanker and Loov Arhitektid.
