Eduard Wiiralt
(1898–1954)
Berber Boy. 1938
Drypoint. Plm 39.5 x 29 cm (framed)
price 5 200
The work is based on what Eduard Wiiralt saw on his trip to Morocco from 1938–1939, when he lived in Marrakech. The Berber boy is depicted with great liking, as is the Berber girl with the camel on the second sheet. The boy’s body and clothing are only marked, the main focus is on his personality, face, and hands.
