Anatoli Strahhov was brought to Estonia by a love of the sea and a passion to study art. In 1975 he graduated from the Estonian art institute, and since 1987 he has been a member of the Estonian Artists' Union, currently working as a freelance artist. Thanks to his experiences of different cultures, both here and in the past, some symbols are visibly revealed in the author's work. Something that is crisp and unearthly warm in Estonian, at the same time recognizable and at the same time different. Anatoly loves nature and all its nuances. The artist paints a romantic world with filigree technical skills, in which man and nature appear as one. His paintings are lovely stories about the feelings which waters, forests, birds, animals and fish create in people and which he relays to the viewer cordially. We often see the intertwining of two seemingly different characters in his paintings. Yet this visual duality does not refer to the opposition of the depicted, neither to good nor to evil, but to the union and fusion of one soul with another, where each has the power to support and carry the other in a different way.
