We have grouped under the category of modern classics those artists whose creative careers began mainly in the first half or middle of the 20th century and who have significantly shaped the early years and development of professional Estonian art. This is a generation of artists whose works mostly come to our collections from private hands, and whom we have extensively and continuously represented at Haus Gallery’s auctions of classic Estonian older art, as well as exhibited in retrospectives reflecting on art history.
