Arkadio Laigo was not of course the only one, who was enchanted by the exotic character of such a big city as Paris was. This was not only the French school of painting, which allured the Estonian artists. It is hard to explain, to which extent the French colour elegance influenced the graphical artist Laigo, who around that period created a whole series the form solution of which was as close to „Pariisi bukinistid” as the industrial theme was far from him. Laigo has grasped several moments, characteristic to large cities of Europe, starting from slightly strange, unaccustomed human types and finishing with a pile of books, referring to a long cultural heritage. Laigo is in Europe.
