Bird symbols in different keys, both romantic and ironic, were frequent in the works by Ilmar Malin. In the present work Malin seems to be referring to certain mythological layers of meaning. A strange bird flying over the ground reminds us of all possible stories of the creation of the earth which started either from a bird or an egg. Cosmological Malin shows also here his extremely thrilling manner of drawing, in which especially strikes the eye the abundance of nuances in the using of colours.
