To the 1960ies is until now referred to as one of the most important periods of Estonian graphical art, when limits with other styles dispersed. Also works by Keerend are in accordance with the prevailing tendencies in painting, when the depiction of the motif took place in a slightly geometric key. Still, this did not remain a single test for Keerend, as during the following decades he already took to use pure geometry. Here the motif does still exist, but Keerend confesses honestly: most of all he is interested in different forms (the rustical angles of the table, slim elegance of the bottle) and colours (glowing of yellow through the blue bottle and green glass).
