Miljard Kilk, who was a member of the group "Tallinnfilmi Surrealists" in the absurd political situation of the late 1980s, this time presents the painting "The Game" in the same spirit to the HAUS auction. Nothing here looks serious, even the background of the action is not a solid, but just a wrinkled wall. Small absurd characters act on the stage, and the impression of the theater artist's work in progress is conveyed by paint spots like brushstrokes. The only 'deep' motif here seems to be a fish as food at the bottom. The fish has a certain symbolism in Christian art, perhaps that`s what is meant here.
The big curatorial exhibition "The Milk of Dreams" of the 2022 Venice Biennale once again brought out a surreal thread from the subconscious of international art - apparently the political situation has once again reached absurdity, forcing artists to react to it somehow.
