Emma Siirak was able to perform at exhibitions in Tallinn, but the winds of the Second World War took her away from Estonia. While living in the United States, he continued to create art, creating, for example, both portraits and nudes. Sirak's work was probably made in exile and depicts men fishing in calm lake water. The quiet mood, the evening atmosphere and the static of the men create an overall picture of relaxation and peace. An idyllic shot that conveys not the excitement of fishing, but the atonement and closure hidden in it.
