Agu Pilt

The ultra-dramatic watercolor presents a woman and a fish - a woman catching a large fish, plus lush flowers and an escaping insect act as an erotic challenge. The geometric elements in Agu Pilt's paintings probably come from Tõnis Vint, the artist's teacher. However, the women painted by Agu Pilt do not have the typical depicted face - the artist was more interested in the shapely body and perfectly fitting costume of the ideal woman. He was an extravagant fashion designer and esthete who realized his dreams on real stages.
