White lilies in a white vase stretching in different directions express the whims of nature. The graphic page, however, seems a foreign victory against the background of home-Estonian graphics of the time (1980). Erich Pehap, with a background in the Pallas High School of Art, emigrated to Sweden during World War II and then to Canada, always remaining active as an artist abroad. His strategy was to do the work that was needed and to encourage the Estonian artists of Toronto to organize themselves under the name of the Estonian Artists Association. The different Estonias could still come together, even in art.
