Peeter Allik's excellent mastery of the linoleum cutting technique becomes clear if you look at the picture very closely and imagine the artist working with linoleum cutting knives of different sizes, without the future picture being drawn on the substrate. Perfect sense of proportion and visualization, insane ability to concentrate.
As always, Peeter Allik creates comical and ironic comments on politics or what is written in the newspaper, while his pictures cannot be called caricatures. "NATO" depicts catching a big fish with a worm, yet the situation is alienated by that cute old-fashioned girl from another era. Peeter Allik, like other artists, has perceived that humanity has turned back into a child, who does not understand the massive consequences of its impulsive actions on the earth as a whole.
