1959
Sirje Petersen's work exudes femininity, thoughtfulness and introspection. There's a faint trace of eroticism and intriguing mystery in the powerful and abstract colored lines of her paintings. The artist has said that ideas often lead her to unknown areas, where something new can always be found. This is a cognitive process, taking place during the act of creation itself.
