Oskar Raunam
1914–1992
Oskar Raunam (1914–1992), a painter and a long-standing art professor, graduated Estonian State School of Industrial Arts in 1938 as a painter of decorations. By the time, he had already won a grand prix for his decorative paintings at 1937 Paris Exposition universelle's Baltic pavilion. The artist worked in a realistic style and in many techniques and genres such as landscapes, still lifes, portraits and figural compositions.
