Olev Soans

1925-1995

Olev Soans graduated from Estonia’s National Institute of Art in 1951; later he worked there as a lecturer, professor and professor emeritus. In 1975, he defended his pedagogical candidate thesis at the University of Tartu. In his graphic works, Soans has magnificently captured Estonia’s cultural monuments and history and brought several innovations to Estonia’s design graphics, including introducing electrographic screen printing.
