Bottom right: EOkas 1999

Evald Okas' ability to organize even very large painting surfaces was exceptional. During his life, he also worked with multi-meter canvases, being able to create at the same time in a balanced composition and on the other hand without losing vivacity and dynamics. The models are in a painting where Okas has guided the structure with a clear hand: one central model, the other model in dialogue with him has been conveyed more sketchily and as if a little more dreamlike. At the same time, his brushwork and use of color are bubbling, they shake off excessive construction and vigorously strive for passionate dynamics.
