Midsummer is celebrated in the exhibition hall of Eesti
Ühispank! |
|
This time the Haus Gallery celebrates in the gallery of
Eesti Ühispank summer landscapes of a well-known lecturer and painter, Uno
Roosvalt. |
|
Uno Roosvalt is one of the few artists in the modern
artistic scenery, who has consistently remained true to the landscape
paintings. His painting style is characteristically individual. Roosvalt\'s
abstract landscapes are vigorous, often being in strong, expressive, but
also in contradiction in delicate white tones. In most cases the artist
concentrates on a single motif, enchanting him, painting it into a grand
landscape, generalising emotions, having been received from the
nature. |
|
When the effect of the Roosvalt\'s landscapes is
emphasized by large formats, then among the exhibition works in Eesti
Ühispank can also be found smaller ones. Works have been accomplished in
method, being characteristic to the artists already for years. His
paintings are made in a studio, but their motifs originate directly from
the nature, where in the course of the preparatory works are previously
being made drawings and taken photos. We see oil paintings from the year
2002, the subjects of which come from Väike-Pakri, Paldiski and the region
of Maarjamäe, home of the artist. |
|
The works are connected, as it is also seen in the heading
of the title of the exhibition, by the water line. Water line in the
Roosvalt\'s paintings has the effect of a timeless decoration, on the
foreground of which the nature stages the grand spectacle of its existence
- his characters on the paintings seem to have stopped for a moment for
memorizing as episodes the single moods of the nature. |
