Enn Põldroos

Enn Põldroos started as an artist already in the 1950ies, being in the following decades one of the most significant authors and also a painting critic. Analyzing of personal creation and the creation of the others let Põldroos to see and understand in depths different art creation possibilities. Therefore we also know “several” Põldroosis. Some years ago Põldroos even experimented with digital print, but has arrived with his last works to the “real” Põldroos. Concrete colours, creating of the surfaces by the means of colour slicks and brush strikes, unexpected and untraditional choices, the slightly cool attitude of the model. In such a manner Põldroos is at the same time the renewer and keeper of traditions.
