Fishes have interested art to a greater extent since spreading of Christian symbols. Until the present day fishes are regarded as especially meaningful objects, but Kernumees ignores such interpretation. Furthermore – Kernumees does not seem to be taking reality very seriously and has rather had a good time with one close-to-life motif. But we could have a different approach and say that fish is for him in the first range the possibility to handle complicated fish scale pattern. This can be assumed even more boldly, if we see what kind of a net pattern the dinner-table draws on the background of the fish.
