Lembit Nõmmeots

The work by Lembit Nõmmeots is not a classical “Estonian painting”. The artist’s painting does not copy nature, he rather creates an emotional, even a dream-like landscape. Here we can see especially bright colour solutions and impetuous movement of painting surfaces. The whole integer seems to have been born in a moment, with one breath. It remains unknown to us, whether it has been accomplished while thinking of the homeland or were the reasons of painting deep personal moods, but we can share the artist’s emotional boldness anyhow.
