Liivia Leškin is known and recognized primarily as a fashion designer. Born in 1956, she graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1980 as a fashion designer, has been a member of the Estonian Artists' Union since 1989, and a founding member of the art group ON Grupp. From 1987 to 1995, she was a lecturer and professor of fashion design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, as well as a visiting lecturer at several Scandinavian art colleges. She has appeared in numerous solo and group exhibitions as a fashion designer, costume designer, fashion illustrator, and created large-format digital printing interior textiles and more.
Liivia Leškin's paintings do not oblige to look in a certain direction, but invite to discover and interpret. Her work is not the result of a logically guided thought, but of emotion experienced to the end.
